The story
Graham Vincent makes violins by hand, alone in his workshop in Somerset. Each instrument is shaped by feel and carries enough of his marks for you to know a person made it.
What we made
A short documentary, shot in a single day in the workshop. We kept it quiet and close — hands, tools, wood grain and Graham in his own words — from the first cuts of timber to a finished instrument.
“When you’re playing music or listening to music, a lot of the noise is pushed away, and when I’m in here working, on the best days, the same thing is happening.”
